Katrin´s
development in bear making was started for 10 years ago.
The first big event was on the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 1995 and on
the Teddy Bear Total exhibition in the same year.
Before she
had maded a few of little pottery pots for bears and
dolls. She was famous for making different little pots
and other
accessoires for the dolls kitchen. In that year she had maded
a
small edition of traditional bears but only one
year later she is
gone with a very big program on teddy bears.
Her new models
were the beginning on a new bear area. The new
line were unusual in dressmaking, material
and accessoires.
Additioanl to the fine mohair stuffs she has dyeing
mohair with
plants products. It was been formed wonderful new colours in
mohair stuffs. Katrin is well-known in bear making
for unusual
bear creations and characters all over the world.
Especially the
bear with long neck and short legs was a new begin
in the bear area. As creator of those bears began the co-operation
with the famous firm TEDDY HERMANN ORIGINAL in Germany.
The first
range was started in 2000. Teddy Hermann
had
introduced a small collection of bears from
Katrin with the
favourite bears: Paula, Linda, Lotti and anymore. Every year you
will find a small exclusiv serie of bears from Katrin by Teddy Hermann.
Today she is always experiment with unusual different cutting sizes,
stuffs and handpainted pattern. Immediately you will make out
